This is a programme to develop the abilities of existing and aspiring Team leaders, Supervisors, Charge Hands . This is a unit standard based programme of 45 credits. Individual units can also be chosen to meet more specific needs.
Three study options are available:
1. Online Option:
You attend one induction session at EIT Taradale campus. After this all of your studies are undertaken online. This means you can study where and when it suits you.
Duration 15 months
Dates Start dates: March, August
Time Expect to take around 10 hours per week
Cost $556 or $99/ unit
There are no formal classes with required attendance however your online courses have a tutor or facilitator who will answer questions contribute to discussions and provide feedback and comments on your assignments. Enrolments in each course are limited to ensure your tutor is always available for you. Courses have a recommended start and end date and a schedule which indicates when certain points of the course have been reached.
2. Workbook Based Option
Very similar to online but all your materials are paper based and available from EIT learning centres. You can start at any time and work at your own pace but you will be expected to plan your progress schedule at the start.

3. Workshop Based Option
An approach with 'traditional' classroom style support. If you are an employer this would be an excellent method of delivering or use as an in-house course. Normally we would offer 13 half day workshops over six months. This approach will only be available this year through employers.
Duration 13 half day workshops over 30 weeks
Time 13, 3 hour workshops plus home study
Cost $1,112
For any study option you will need to be in employment or have access to a workplace as all assessments are work related. Assessments are workbook based. There are no formal examinations.
