You may enrol into this programme anytime between mid-January and mid-December.
The programme is offered at the Hastings, Waipukurau, Flaxmere, Wairoa and Maraenui Learning Centres and the Taradale campus.
This is a flexibly delivered programme. There are no formal classes with required attendance.
This programme allows you to work in your own time, at your own pace, at home, work or wherever you choose. If you need help, or if you do not have a computer, tutorial assistance is available from any of the EIT centres, during particular timeslots.
When students are ready for assessment they should book in to do so at one of the EIT Centres.
Outline
The programme consists of 11 Unit Standards. You will be enrolled into the first unit standard only. On successful completion of this, you can then enrol into the next unit standard. This process will continue through the 11 Unit Standards that make up the programme.
Once accepted into the programme you will have to attend a short How to Get Started session at your closest EIT Centre when you will also collect your pack of resources for you to start your studies.
The National Certificate in Computing Level 3 is a part time programme which provides computing skills at an intermediate level. You should complete the programme approximately 54 weeks.
The National Certificate is designed to:
Recognise an intermediate level core of computing skills for any industry that requires such skills; and
Provide a qualification for employment in computing and enhance readiness for further study in computing and related fields, particularly at diploma or degree level.
