I was apprehensive about studying video but quickly found that everyone else was the same. And the tutors were extremely good at introducing us to the process and tutoring us.

Graduates will be awarded the EIT Hawkes Bay Diploma in Video and Electronic Media after two years of successful study. Graduates will have the ability to produce programmes for TV broadcasting, DVD and CD-ROM to publishing standards. On completion students could further their study or find employment in film and televsion, advertising or multimedia development industries. The movies on this channel are made by the students of the EIT Video & Electronic Media Diploma programme. The whole process from scriptwriting, set-building, shooting, sound recording, directing, acting and editing is done by the students themselves. Tutors only provided guidance. You will create and produce programmes using non-linear, post-production equipment, and digital video and audio gear. As part of your assignments you will work in an actual production environment. This programme has flexible entry and exit points depending on your previous experience and aspirations.
