The EIT Certificate in Wine provides a unique opportunity to study wine science and viticulture in your own time at your own pace.
This is an internationally recognised programme which combines distance learning with an annual residential school which may be completed at either EIT Hawkes Bay in New Zealand or at Plumpton College, Sussex in the United Kingdom.

At Plumpton College UK, there are also further study opportunities in wine science and viticulture.

To be awarded this certificate, students must complete courses totalling at least 84 credits in one of three study options:
Certificate in Wine (no endorsement)
Certificate in Wine (Grapegrowing)
Certificate in Wine (Winemaking)
The delivery of this programme is flexible. The normal rate of study is 42 credits per year which requires an average of about ten hours study per week. However, students may vary the rate at which they study to suit their own circumstances and may enrol in individual courses or study extra courses if desired.
Residential School
A number of courses have a residential school component which is delivered in June/July each year. Residental schools are held on campus at EIT Hawkes Bay (NZ) or at Plumpton College , East Sussex (UK).

The programme is normally studied part-time over a two year period. The programme commences each year in February and concludes in November.
Please note that there is some flexibility in the commencement date for this programme.
