Bachelor of Arts (MÄori) – Te Whakangungutanga Ki Nga Tairo a Kupe
The Bachelor of Arts (MÄori) is a full-time, three year programme (or equivalent part-time) which enables graduates to pursue a professional career in a variety of fields. In particular, the programme is designed to:Â
- Give you proficiency in MÄori language, customs and culture.
- Enhance your career prospects and social standing within your community.

I want to gain an in- depth understanding of winegrowing and the science behind it. Hawkes Bay produces some of the country’s best wine. The practical focus at EIT attracted me to study there.

Edmond Otis
Edmond and his family have recently moved to Hawke's Bay from the US. On faculty at the University of California, Riverside (UCR) from 1981-2007, he held senior positions in Psychology, Humanities, English, the Graduate School of Education, Athletics, Recreation, and Honors. As Director of UCR's nationally known Martial-Arts program (1995-2004), he coached numerous individuals, and teams, to national and international karate championships. Edmond also focused on developing courses integrating traditional martial art philosophy with modern western life.

We offer an ongoing Careers Counselling Service, a Learning Skills Centre for individual and group assistance, Pouwhirinaki support (MÄori and Pacific Island students), a Disability Liaison Service provides a comprehensive range of services to ensure students have equal study opportunities.
The Twist Library provides an extensive range of services for study and research in a relaxed and friendly environment.
Many people who study at EIT have young families and take advantage of the on-campus fully licenced Childcare Centre. A bookshop provides stationery, textbook and gift services, plus a whole lot more
