Bio

Peter Janes has worked in the Australasian TV industry since NZBC days in the late 1960s. His work in television includes iconic series such The Power Rangers, The Tribe, Shortland Street and Xena Warrior Princess; dramas like Mercy Peak and Jackson’s Wharf; comedy series The Topp Twins and Pio.

His film work includes the so-called Maori Merchant of Venice (He Taonga Films); documentaries include Ten Guitars, and Standing in the Sunshine and Opera in the Outback featuring Kiri Te Kanawa; and a number of Flying Nun music videos for TV Series Radio With Pictures including TheVerlaines’ Death and the Maiden.
