Hannah Portas (nee Smith) is the Health, Safety and Wellbeing Advisor for the Institute.

After completing her studies in Wellington, Hannah spent some time working around England in Hospitality, and in Japan as an English teacher. Hannah returned to Wellington where she worked in various roles for the Ministry of Education. One of the roles was project managing the reform of their Health and Safety system. From there, Hawke’s Bay was calling, and Hannah returned to her home town to work for EIT.
