Profile

Gail has had a long association with EIT working in various roles from lecturer to Head of School. She has taught a range of subjects including sports business management, human growth and development, but her passion is human anatomy and physiology which she has taught to students within a wide range of programmes. She is currently a lecturer in the School of Health and Sport Science teaching anatomy and physiology within the Diploma in Beauty and Body Therapy, Certificate in Health and Sport Massage, Diploma in Therapeutic and Sport Massage and Diploma in Recreation and Sport.

Gail has always been very involved in sport and as a child played as many sports as her parents would say “yes” to.  This lead to her studying Physical Education at the University of Otago which fuelled her interest in anatomy and physiology and completion of a Bachelor of Science.

Gail began coaching sport as a teenager and on shifting to Hawke’s Bay focused on gymnasts, trampoline and rhythmic gymnastics.

Through her children she has coached and managed a long list of sports including football and canoe polo.
