Profile

Deb currently teaches the Certificate in Study and Career Preparation (Level 3). Passionate about teaching and learning, Deb brings a wealth of experience in community, secondary and tertiary education, and in community-based social services to her teaching practice. Prior to being employed by EIT in 2005, she managed the Hawkes Bay domestic violence intervention project, DOVE Hawkes Bay, where she also co-facilitated various education and training programmes.

 

Deb has accumulated qualifications in various disciplines over the years, including agricultural science, teaching, and integrative psychology. In 2011 she graduated a Master in Adult Education (Global) through Monash University in Melbourne, with a focus on adult learning and global change in the 21st century. In 2012 she completed Certificates in Maori (Waharoa) and Mauri Ora, as part of an ongoing commitment to developing cultural competencies.
