    This programme is subject to approval

    This qualification provides flexibility to tailor programmes that reflect their particular area/s of employment. In addition to basic horticulture skills it may include the use of chainsaws, forklifts, tractors, motorcycles, and All Terrain Vehicles (ATVs). An important aspect of basic skills acquisition is gaining knowledge of the associated safety requirements applicable to horticulture situations.

    General horticulture skills, and may include but not limited to the following:

    • All Terrain Vehicles (ATVs)
    • First Aid
    • Forklifts
    • Motorcycles
    • Safety requirements of horticulture
    • Tractors
    • Use of chainsaws
