Ashish Jain, EIT Graduate Diploma in Business
"Studying overseas really improves your skills to adapt to a whole different world with other people and a whole different way of living. It is a chance to step out of the culture and values of home and experience something completely new. Overall it enhances your people management skills, your flexibility and makes you a stronger person.
In this context, EIT gives you the opportunity to study in a multicultural environment.
I chose to study at EIT because of its reputation and the faculty is composed of dynamic, qualified and pleasant tutors so as to make you feel good and relaxed. I hope to become an expert in the field of business, but to do this you need a good theoretical background and up to date knowledge. You also need practical experience , which you can gain through real life examples in the field you are studying in.
My advice is to learn every year you have worked, move on to the next level, never sit still and make sure you keep challenging yourself."
Prior to coming to New Zealand Janet lived in England and worked in management in large scale retailing, taught in a comprehensive school in Manchester and ran outdoor education programmes.
She has been in New Zealand for thirty years teaching Economics and related subjects in secondary schools and more recently at the EIT. Her passion is Economics and she has carried out research on the economic impact of sporting events in Hawke’s Bay and more recently researched into the economic way of thinking.
Our classes are relatively small with supportive teaching on a pleasant campus.
At degree level, we offer a good range of majors including Accounting, Marketing, Management and Information Systems. The School of Business is a fully accredited education provider for all three Colleges of the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants.
There are a variety of scholarships available to support you with your studies. Click here to find out more
