  
Cost $185 per week  Some students prefer families with children while others prefer retired couples or single adults. Homestay Accommodation Homestay with a New Zealand family is recommended for students studying English as they can "practice" their English in their living situation. A family environment also eases the adjustment of living in a country with different food, language and customs. You will be treated like a family member and be expected to help out with household duties as well as living by the rules of the host family. All EIT homestays are visited and interviewed by the EIT Accommodation Officer. They are also checked by the New Zealand Police.
