REFRESH EIT Beauty Therapy Clinic

beauty 800 x 600Students provide beauty and body therapy services through our Student-Run Beauty Clinic, Refresh.  Students run the clinic as a commercial entity, providing future employers with work ready graduates.

Refresh offers a full variety of face and body services from “Express” to “Deluxe” treatments as well as a full range of beauty products to add to your beauty regimen.

At Salon ELITE you can relax in our modern hairdressing salon where our supervised students will begin your appointment with a consultation, a shampoo treatment and a relaxing scalp massage.

FadeIT is a team of talented students who are here to make you feel fresh and relaxed. Come in for a simple men’s cut, beard trim, or even just a treatment and blow wave.

REVIVE Massage Clinic

Once students have reached a certain level of competency they are given the opportunity to work with staff, students and the public.

Clinic days have been established at EIT | Te Pūkenga to allow students to practice skills learnt during classes.  These are supervised by tutors.  Clients have complete privacy whilst changing and screens separate each massage table at all times.

EIT Sport Science Services

EIT Sport Science Services at Pettigrew.Green Arena and the EIT Institute for Sport & Health (EIT ISH) offers a range of testing and training services for all athletes to enhance their training and performance.

All Staff are highly qualified and experienced in their field of interest.  They are closely linked with the New Zealand Academy of Sport and work with athletes from novice to elite. 

Scholars Restaurant and On The Terrace Café

The purpose built training kitchens and restaurant offers Hawke’s Bay diners a unique restaurant experience. It allows you to not only enjoy memorable and delicious dining but also to participate in the training of our future chefs and front of house staff.

The School of Hospitality staff and students look forward to welcoming you to Toru Restaurant and Pop-Up Café.

We have four Hospitality qualifications being delivered in Gisborne, with each programme offering varied and exciting dining options.

Campus Catering

The School of Tourism and Hospitality has recently taken over the running of the catering operations at the EIT Hawke’s Bay Campus.

Our Campus Catering team are available to provide catering both on and off campus.

Research at EIT

EIT research director Jonathan Sibley announced that research at the institute is more active than ever.

EIT is a vibrant, innovative and research-led tertiary education institute. Research emphasis is placed upon collaborations with Hawke’s Bay industry and organisations and with colleagues in other tertiary institutions.
