Taradale Rotary provided its annual awards to two EIT Hawke’s Bay students for “All-round Excellence”. Tara Cooney, a Year 3 Bachelor of Visual Arts and Design student, and Malcolm Blake, a Year Two Bachelor of Computing Systems student were this year’s awardees.

Both are “A” grade academic students, Mal in fact getting straight A+ in all his courses in his first year. Malcolm was recognised for his leadership and positive influence and mentoring of other students. Having had three children under 17 months with the recent arrival of their twins the scholarship is really valued by Malcolm.
