It was exciting times at EIT last week.

The EIT Students’ association ran their O-week fun activities.

The Hawke’s Bay High Schools Trades Academy has started again – and this year we have over 300 students studying
• Agriculture
• Animal care
• Trades
• Computing
• Fashion
• Hair and beauty
• Health and fitness
• Hospitality or
• Travel and tourism.

And then there are the STAR students from high schools who come to EIT for shorter tasters at EIT as well.

And on Friday, the Young Enterprise Scheme was on campus kicking off their year. EIT hosts this event in conjunction with the Chamber of Commerce. About 40 business people participate in speed coaching where the students pitch their idea and get ideas for improvement.

It’s busy times with plenty of young minds learning at EIT!
