Rachel with Lady Gaga at EIT’s printery

Working for an international company, EIT business graduate Rachel Newland regularly meets Lady Gaga in her job.

Born and raised in Wairoa, Rachel joined Fuji Xerox after graduating with a Bachelor of Business Studies in 2011. Since then she’s been promoted twice and is the customer services delivery manager based in the Head Office in Auckland.

As a Wairoa College school leaver, she was attracted by EIT’s Year 13 degree scholarship, and she wanted to stay in Hawke’s Bay.

Rachel found the small class sizes, knowing her fellow students and the accessibility of lecturers all supported her learning and she feels her studies prepared her well.

She enjoys combining her two passions, people and technology.

By the way, Lady Gaga is a Fuji Xerox colour 800 digital press and lives at EIT, in our printery.
