EIT’s School of Business is ramping up its profile as a leading educator having received NZQA accreditation to deliver three new programmes.

The approved programmes – the Master of Applied Management, the Postgraduate Diploma in Applied Management and the Postgraduate Certificate in Applied Management – will be offered from next year.

The School of Business has worked hard to structure these programmes to provide options for continuing full-time work
while studying.

The Master of Applied Management can be studied full time over 18 months or part time over six years, depending on the
student’s previous study, experience and specific course preferences.

The Postgraduate Diploma in Applied Management is a 12-month full-time study programme or up to four years
part-time, again depending on the student’s previous study history, experience and preferences for specific courses.

The Postgraduate Certificate in Applied Management can be gained after six months full-time study. The part-time option is for up to two years, also depending on the student’s previous study history, experience and preferred specific courses.

The post-graduate courses will be taught through blended delivery. Students will be expected to participate in two
workshops for each course (full-time study equates to four courses a semester).

The workshops will be held on a Friday and Saturday.

A large percentage of courses will be communicated and completed online, preparing students for the self-directed
activities, field work and on-campus workshops.

The master’s degree programme encompasses two focus areas, sustainable business and small to medium-sized
enterprises. Eight areas of professional competence will be covered – money, markets, people and culture, planning,
technology, innovation, globalisation and sustainability.

Next year’s start dates for all three programmes will be 16 February and 20 July in Hawke’s Bay and 24 August in
Auckland.
